The challenge
tone57 curates unusual, great-sounding music gear from many brands and ships it from Jakarta across Southeast Asia. Selling a fast-changing catalog of pedals, synths and modular gear meant customers had to browse by brand and category, see local prices, get accurate shipping costs for their exact address and pay with the methods they already use. The store also needed accounts and order tracking so repeat buyers could check out quickly and follow their shipments.
Our solution
We built a fast single-page storefront on a Laravel API. Customers browse the full catalog by brand, category and price with search and continuous loading. Product pages show descriptions, stock and "You May Also Like" recommendations, and the catalog has pricing fields for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Checkout runs from the cart through customer information, a shipping address picked by province, city, subdistrict and postal code, and a choice of courier service with live shipping costs. Discount codes apply at checkout, and payment goes through the Midtrans gateway, including bank virtual accounts. Signed-in customers get a profile, a saved address book with a main address, password management, and an order history with payment status and tracking numbers.
